I am a stage manager and designer based in Orlando, Florida. My experience mainly stems from showcases, ten minute plays, and straight shows, and I thoroughly enjoy shows with elements of magic and special effects. My main focus is aiding in the facilitation and creation of art and helping to amplify voices that are typically ignored. This philosophy has allowed me to be recently awarded the KCACTF Region IV Stage Management Fellowship (2021) and the Cody Renard Richard Scholarship focusing on diversity and inclusion within the theatre community.
In this current state of American progression, specifically in the American theatre industry, I believe that my dual major is an important detail that sets me apart from others. My Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality major focuses on learning the ins and outs of marginalized groups both on a national and global scale. It is no secret that America is currently going through a time of social change and justice, of which many theatres have issued statements of support. Part of issuing that support is ensuring that your production team and actors are heard and fought for – something that my second degree has graciously prepared me for. I would be more than happy to use my skills and knowledge to contribute to this new era of theatre.
